[Live-devel] problem with .avi to .mpg conversion

Hello all,
           I was able to transmitt successfully mpeg files from streamer to 
Reciever(testMPEG1or2VideoStreammer).
But, i want to capture live video from webcam and transmitt.
The problem is, Webcam is generating  ".avi" format so we need convert to MPEG 
format. Is there any source code for converting the ".avi" to ".mpg" format 
which is suitable to live.
such that we can able to transmitt video frames dynamically(from streamer to 
Reciever)..
please give suggestion...
