[Live-devel] Starting Play at specific time

At the moment, it looks like the code for the RTSP server does not 
handle the "Range:" header to indicate the start/end times for the stream.

For instance:

Range: npt=0-

would indicate that the stream should start at the beginning and end at 
the end, where:

Range: npt=30-

would indicate that the stream should start 30 seconds in and end at the 
end.

Has anyone/Is there any plan to implement such feature...to essentially 
start the stream in the middle of the a file?

Parsing the Range header is the easy part, but the server needs to 
somehow position the file pointer to a particular place depending on 
bitrate.

Any ideas?
