As I noted a month ago

the best way to get IPv6 support to happen will be for someone to pay for 
it.  (Unfortunately it would be a difficult task for someone who's 
unfamiliar with the code, because the assumption that network addresses are 
IPv4 is spread throughout the code.)

If your organization is interested in funding this, please let me know (by 
separate email).
