It seems that your network interface does not (properly) support IP multicast.

If you're running Windows, you may be running an old version (e.g. 95 or 
98) with a brain-damaged network interface.

If you're running Unix (e.g., Linux), then maybe you don't have a proper 
routing table entry for multicast.
