Yes, although I'll try to be a little more diplomatic :-)

Can your Axis server be upgraded?  Is there a new firmware release 
available for it?

We already know that there *do* exist Axis servers that implement 
RTSP more-or-less correctly - e.g., the server that Frederico Ares is 
using.  (The problems that we are currently having with that server 
arise because it is using the standard in an unusual way - not that 
its behavior is non-standard.)

I suspect that you can upgrade your server to work correctly.  If 
not, you should file a bug report with Axis.

Our RTSP client implementation - along with that in QuickTime Player 
- is so widely deployed now that we should be able to put pressure on 
server manufacturers to make their products more standards-compliant.
