Does it not play it at all, or does it play it with errors?

Do you know what version of the "LIVE.COM Streaming Media" libraries 
"vlc-0.8.2test2" uses?  If it's using a recent version (>=2004.12.22), then 
it's possible that it could play this type of stream, although the fact 
that UDP packets aren't on TS packet boundaries might end up causing 
problems with "MPEG2TransportStreamFramer" (which the LIVE.COM code uses to 
generate correct presentation times from the incoming UDP data).
