"setsockopt(IP_ADD_MEMBERSHIP)" errors are almost always caused by IP 
multicast not being configured (or being misconfigured) on your OS.  Make 
sure that IP multicast is enabled, and that you have a route for 
"224.0.0/4" on your network interface.
