I'm not sure about this.  I think it's better for the *source* object 
to take care of this - i.e., making sure that any pending tasks are 
unscheduled before "FramedSource::handleClosure()" gets called.  (The 
reason for this is that the source has more information than the sink 
about what task(s) - if any - need to be unscheduled.)
