Strictly speaking, the "LIVE.COM Streaming Media" software doesn't 
'receive files' - it receives RTP streams (which might then be 
written into files).

Are you referring specifically to the "-i" command in "openRTSP" 
<http://www.live.com/openRTSP/#quicktime>?  If so, note that the 
"AVI-file writing" feature currently supports only a few codecs.
