[Live-devel] VLC uses Live555, UDP streaming out problem

VLC currently uses the "LIVE555 Streaming Media" code only for
*receiving* RTSP streams. For transmitting streams, VLC uses
separate code. Any questions about transmitting data using VLC
should go to a VLC mailing list.

However, I suggest that - instead of using VLC - you use the "LIVE555
Media Server" <http://www.live555.com/mediaServer/> to transmit MPEG
Transport Stream files. This server is more standards compliant,
more compatible with many set-top boxes, and supports 'trick play'
operations.
