First, I have never heard of ".mpg files that have the H.264 video 
codec".  ".mpg" files are usually always MPEG-1 or 2 Program Stream 
or Elementary Stream files.

But in any case, streaming H.264 video from files is currently not 
supported in the "LIVE555 Streaming Media" code.
