Yes, but only for multicast streams.  Unicast streams must, in 
general, be set up using RTSP.

Also, BTW, if you set up multicast streams this way, there's nothing 
'fake' about the SDP description.

Note, for example, the ".sdp" files that are included in the 
"testProgs" directory.  They can be used to receive the multicast 
streams from the corresponding "test*Streamer" demo applications.
