[Live-devel] Dynamic Server URL's

Hi Guys,
I am making great progress on my dynamic rtsp server, but had a question
regarding the url format. My server parses the url (overriding the
lookupServerMediaSession) when a connection comes in, and if necessary
bootstraps a new stream. The stream comes from a network camera or network
video recorder.
I would like to use advanced urls such as:
rtsp://serverip:port/stream?deviceId=3&startTime=t1&endTime=t2
Reading through the RTSP RFC it seems that the standard should allow me to
do this:
³ The path components of the RTSP URL are opaque to the client and do
not imply any particular file system structure for the server.
This decoupling also allows presentation descriptions to be used
with non-RTSP media control protocols simply by replacing the
scheme in the URL.²
I believe the track control would be done by appending the trackid at the
end:
rtsp://serverip:port/stream?deviceId=3&startTime=t1&endTime=t2/track1
Do you know if live555 allow me to use urls in this format?
Stuart
