As I said before: MPEG-4 Video Elementary files saved by "openRTSP" 
CANNOT be played by VLC, or by any other media player client (to my 
knowledge).

However, VLC should be able to play the RTSP stream directly (i.e., 
from the "rtsp://" URL).
