Is there a Live555 IRC channel on freenode.net? Just curious, the IRC
channels seem to be very helpful with other multimedia based projects like
mythtv, etc.
I have enjoyed playing with the openRTSP program, it has fit my needs in
almost every way. I am getting to the point though that I will have to
change some of the behavior and I would like to ping you seasoned guys
before I "run off into the weeds". This is what I think I need to do,
comments are most welcome. I think I need to have openRTSP to start the
RTSP session and never let it go (only stop on Ctrl-C) and I need to change
the file sink maybe with a decorator, to be smart enough to save so many
minutes are saved to one datafile then open another file and continue to
save to it...so on and so on. So the HDD does not completely fill, I want
to delete older files if the total used size is bigger than some upper
limit. It needs to work on the same principle as a security camera hooked
to a vcr that "loops" recording.
Does this sound reasonable? I am not seeing how I will pass the extra
configuration parameters to the decorator yet, or even if the decorator is
possible. I am basing my project on openRTSP and the mp4 and quicktime
filesink.
Thanks in advance for your help.
