On Windows, the "READ_FROM_FILES_SYNCHRONOUSLY" constant must be 
defined (to 1) in "ByteStreamFileSource.cpp".  This should happen 
automatically (provided that __WIN32__ or _WIN32 is defined), but you 
should check to make sure.
