I'm trying testMP3Streamer to multicast an MP£ file over the lan and to
listen to it with mplayer. It does not work, even though it works with vlc.

Did you experience this?

Here's mplayer output

ottavio at debian2:/tmp$ mplayer -msglevel all=9
