Hi Eugene,
I had seen similar issue before. In my implementation using Live555, for mpeg4 video streaming, VLC starts with green screen and it corrects with the arrival of subsequent I-frame. 
Have you observed the green screen going off after VLC received subsequent i-frame in the sequence? 
If that happens, pls check whether you are transmitting all necessary info for decoding the first i-frame (like VOP, VOL)?

Could you please give me some information about my trouble.
I use vlc to recive streaming media feed from RTSP source.
I can see following issue..
When i run rtsp://remote:ViewNow1@80.179.197.53/live.sdp with VLC it 
some times plays well but sometimes(once per about three launches)  it 
starts with green screen. Video of this feed encoded with mp4v. Also i 
can play rtsp://root:pass@213.8.59.59:22335/ch0_unicast_firststream 
vedeo is encoded with h264 and it's play perfectly without greenscreen 
all time.

I tried debug VLC but seems that green screen appeared when live555 
libs's methods are called.

What do you think about this issue, do you think that getting of  lates 
version of live555 lib will help to fix this?
Where similar issues with live555?
