Hi Ross,

Thanks for your reply.

If I need to change back to original PID's in the FFW /REW streamed TS, in
which file I should make changes.

Can you please help me out in this.

Thanks and regards,

M. Nambirajan

Subject: Re: [Live-devel] Trick play

We have been checking the trick play with the Live555 Server. We found that
when doing the FFW or REW, The PID values of the stream id, PMT and Video
Elementary Stream are changed to different values.

Strictly speaking, the trick play mechanism isn't 'changing' the PID,
because it's not reusing the original Transport Stream. Instead, it is
creating a whole new Transport Stream, using only the video content that
appeared in the original Transport Stream. Therefore - as a whole new
Transport Stream - the 'trick play' stream uses its own PIDs, which have no
relationship to whatever PIDs happened to have been in the original.

This should not be a problem, because the new 'trick play' transport stream
has proper PAT and PMT tables, and therefore compliant receivers should have
no problem playing it.

Can we revert it to the original PID values.

No. This would be non-trivial to do, and there are no plans to do so.
