When the “LIVE555 Proxy Server” is started, it contacts the remote (‘back-end’) server to get information about the stream (using the RTSP “DESCRIBE” command), but does not actually play (i.e., receive) the stream until the first ‘front-end’ client connects to the proxy server.
And when the last ‘front-end’ client has disconnected from the proxy server, the proxy server will pause the stream from the ‘back-end’ server (by sending a RTSP “PAUSE” command).
