[Live-devel] source availability over an encrypted connection

Dear live555 developers,
thank you for maintaining this software so far and making it available
under the LGPL. I remember when you were still hosted at live.com. :)

The source code is downloadable over HTTP only. The unencrypted protocol
is susceptible to MitM attacks, which is a real concern these days. As
one of the maintainers of live555 package at Fedora, I have a request:

Would you consider adding an option to download the source over HTTPS?
I'm sure you are aware that trusted TLS certificates can be obtained for
free from Let's Encrypt and other automated certificate providers.
