<div>If you're not using the "LIVE555 Streaming Media" code
for this, then your message is off-topic for this mailing list.
You're also reinventing the wheel. The Open Source VLC media
player <http://www.videolan.org/vlc/> already does this - using
the "LIVE555 Streaming Media" code, and ffmpeg.</div>
