I am currently using livemedia as my rtsp client, however, I am suffering a problem, which the timeout parameter on the DescribeWithPassword and describeURL functions doesn't seems to work. Not really, unfortunately. I suggest tracing through those functions' implementation (in "liveMedia/RTSPClient.hh") to try to figure out what's going wrong.<br>

(However, a completely new implementation of "RTSPClient" is coming soon (hopefully within days). It might fix your problem.)<br>
