<div>In order for VLC to be able to play the stream, VLC needs a SDP
description, so that it will know (i) that the stream is H.264, and
(ii) which RTP payload format code it is using.</div>

<div>Are you giving VLC a SDP description - either directly (as a
file), or indirectly, using RTSP?</div>
