OK, the problem here is with the *server* - it should not be
hanging when it receives the client's "TEARDOWN" command. Please
contact the server's manufacturer, and tell them to fix this
problem.

However, to allow for this situation occurring (the server
hanging on "TEARDOWN"), I have now installed a new version
(2013.08.05) of the "LIVE555 Streaming Media" code that updates
the "openRTSP" command so that if it is signaled to end (via
"kill -HUP"), then it no longer waits for a response to the
"TEARDOWN" command.

Thanks Ross the new version solves my problem, many thanks for your
assistance with this. This particular model of IP camera is fairly
old now and the manufacturer no longer offer support on it, so I
imagine they will not be interested in applying a fix - hopefully
their newer products no longer have this defect .
