<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">I'm trying to do RTSP digest authentication between Vivotek's IP camera and VLC Player,<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">and It seems that VLC Player does not support digest authentication in RFC-2617, but support digest authentication in RFC-2069.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">It means that our IP camera cannot response "401 Unauthorized" with qop="auth" which define in RFC-2617 when VLC player try to access live stream<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">Therefore, the streamingserver which implement RFC-2617 will failed to do RTSP digest authentication with VLC player.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
