[Live-devel] Multicast address as a source?

Hello,
I've got a question about what is written at
http://www.live.com/liveCaster/interfaceControl.html
"liveCaster and playRTPMPEG have two additional, optional command-line
arguments - "-si <IP-address>" and "-ri <IP-address>" - that can be used
to specify the IP address of the multicast sending and receiving
interfaces, respectively."
I thought that multicast addresses could not be used as an IP source
address.
In the case of liveCaster -si <IP-address> represents a unicast address?
Thanks
Claudio

PS=This link on http://www.live.com/liveCaster/downloading.html is
broken: http://www.teksouth.com/linux/multicast/ about Delbert Matlock's
Site.
And on http://ugwww.ucs.ed.ac.uk/mice/archive/ there are two other
broken links:
