One more comment on this.  The VLC server's use of RTP Payload Type 33 here 
is non-standards compliant, because (as I noted in my last message), that 
type is reserved for streaming MPEG *Transport* Streams.  The VLC server 
should instead be using a dynamic payload type (i.e., one that's >= 96).
