Are you using the "LIVE.COM Streaming Media" toolkit (in particular, 
the"SIPClient" class) to implement your application?  (If not, then your 
question is off-topic for this mailing list, and you will need to find some 
other mailing list.)

If you haven't already done so, you can use the existing "playSIP" 
application <http://www.live.com/playSIP/> to call a X-Lite softphone 
(using a "sip:" URL), and record the audio stream coming from the phone.
