Yes, this was a bug in the code.  (It causes problems for SSM multicast 
streams, not unicast streams or non-SSM multicast streams.  That's why I 
didn't notice it before.)

I have installed a new version (2004.11.09a) of the "LIVE.COM Streaming 
Media" code that fixes this problem.
