[Live-devel] Salvadore Dali is in my computer

Hello All,

I'm using a Firewire camera into a H263 video sink. MacOSX 10.4.2,
dual G5, 1.5GB RAM, etc. etc.

In the continuing saga of getting these live sources working, I have
what I call the "Dali Effect". Basically, I start out with a dark
frame, and a sliver at the top that is approximately accurate.
Anything moving appears to be getting delta updates.

These updates then start "sliding" down and to the right. Like the
melting watches of Salvador Dali. Eventually, if the stream lasts
long enough (I am still getting attempts to read more than once -
don't know why), they eventually turn into a purplish twitching blob,
with little delta updates on the moving parts.

I'm still a bit clueless about this, and how to determine duration()
or fPresentationTime.

I know, I have the source code, but it's still quite complicated.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Neil Alexander
