[Live-devel] Streaming kills network

Hello All,

After building the entire library, I found that running the
testMPEG1or2AudioVideo program wipes out internet access to the
entire network. Sure, it's visible on the LAN, but why does everybody
lose internet access?

The configuration is

Sender: Dual 1.8Ghz G5 Tower, 1.5 GB RAM
Receiver:1.8 Ghz iMac, 1.256 GB RAM
OSX 10.4 "Tiger" on both
RTSP Internal server is NOT defined.

I have the May 26, 2005 version of the Live library.

The two computers are attached to a Linksys 10/100 Ethernet switch.
One other port is connected to the DSL modem.

Also, when attempting to view the stream over wireless, nothing was
visible (using internal RTSP Server configuration). The console tells
you what to type, and it works on the local computer, but not over
the Airport. Does Airport automatically block certain ports? I can't
find any place to enable / disable ports - and the firewalls are off.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Neil Alexander
