[Live-devel] Help with image output

Hi all, I'm new here. I hope there's someone here who might be able to help
me.

I successfully compiled and ran openRTSP (fed by a mpeg4 stream provided by
spook http://www.litech.org/spook/). I would like to incorporate the
live.com libs into an own project, but first I need to achieve the
following: output individual PPM or PGM image files instead of a mpeg4 file.

I checked out mplayer (compiled against live.com libs), which is capable of
outputting PPM/PGM files when the option "-vo pnm" is supplied. This is
exactely what I need, and it works. My prob: I don't want to include the
whole mplayer into my own app.

Can somebody advise be how to extend openRTSP in a way that it outputs
PPM/PGM files? The code in mplayer that does this is in
%mplayer_source_dir%/libvo/vo_pnm.c
