Hi Neil,

if I understand everything, I think first you should better test wether your
server is working or not. On the one hand you can test it as described by Ross
by adding the Debug-DEFINE on the server side and use openRTSP as client
software. On the other hand if you think you have problems with your firewall
test the original testOnDemandRTSPServer with some different players. You don't
need to write your own client software.

At the moment I'm testing my own streaming server, a distributed streaming
server, and I have some problems with the current Quicktime Player. If I try to
connect I get only a "400: Bad Request". All other players like vlc, RealPlayer
or mplayer are working fine.
