Is VLC able to play your stream, or is it not?

If VLC is able to play your stream, then you can figure out how this 
works.  Remember, You Have Complete Source Code (for both VLC, and 
for the LIVE555 Streaming Media libraries that it uses).

If VLC is not able to play your stream, then please post the stream's 
(publically accessible) "rtsp://" URL to the mailing list, so we can 
investigate.
