Yes, that's very strange.  If his file had been zero-length, then I 
would have known what to say.  If his file had been a proper size, 
then I would also have known what to say.

What happens when you (attempt to) play the RTSP/RTP stream (from the 
"rtsp://" URL), using VLC or QuickTime Player?  Does this work?
