Hi Yuri,

I don’t have any idea how to connect Darwin server directly to the RTSP source? If Darwin server can capture a RTSP stream as a client and then retransmit as a server then please tell me how to do this.

Thanks and regards
Gaurav

Hi Gaurav,

I don't understand why can't you connect a Darwin server directly to your RTSP source? Why do you need a RTSP proxy?

But if you really need this, you can use VLC: just open RTSP url and stream it: Go Media -> Streaming (Ctrl + S), choose Network in source, enter your RTSP source URL. After that select appropriate streaming parameters (port, URL, disable transcoding, etc).

If you need to do this in your program, then you have to write your own RTP Source receiving data from RTP sink (e.g. using PIPE).

Regards,
Yuri

Hi Ross,

Ok I understand that I can use LIVE Media RTSP server for http tunneling, but the basic question still is that how do I read from an URL (rtsp://) instead of reading from file and send the stream via RTSP server.

Thanks and Regards

I want to Capture a RTSP stream from an IP camera, then retransmit it using Darwin Server (Since I need HTTP tunneling support).

Do you realize that our own RTSP server implementation supports HTTP tunneling? You don't need a 3rd party server (which we don't support) to do this.
