Thanks Ross. I was kind of thinking more of some higher level type 
testing rather than at that level as unfortunately diagnosing the code 
is beyond my capabilities. I'm interested to know whether the problem is 
due to the encoder itself perhaps not adhering to standards or a problem 
within openRTSP.
If the problem is within the encoder then I can pass that information 
back to the hardware developers (whether they'd actually fix it is 
another matter), but I don't know how to determine where the problem 
lies. If I was to make a sample MP4 file available for analysis is this 
likely to give any clues?
