I don't know.  Try adding the "-V" (i.e., verbose) option to MPlayer, and 
send us the output.

Luca Abeni's suggested patch probably should not be necessary (and can 
actually be counterproductive, because it can cause initial received data 
to be discarded unnecessarily).  He is correct, however, that it helps - 
for the first few seconds of reception - if the receiver's clock is 
synchronized with the sender's.  (After that, though, once RTCP packets 
have been received for both audio and video, it shouldn't matter.)
