It seems to me that test<...>Stream produve only RTP stream not RTSP?
Should we run vlc with
$ vlc udp://@multicast-address:port ?

At least for testMP3Stream it works this way.

Regards,
Andrei

  Hi Ross,

  I also downloaded the June 14th version. With the new version, when I used VLC to open the sdp file (means that it receives RTP/RTCP data), VLC stops after a few seconds. I tested with the older version (April 28), and VLC works fine. I was trying it on a WinXP -> Win2000. Will try again Win2000 -> WinXP to see if there is anything wrong with my WinXP box.

  Regards,
  Dixon

    Hi Ross,
      I pick up the library again these days. However, after I downloaded the library,
    I ran the test program testMPEG1or2VideoStreamr and it doesnot work.
    No error come out while compiling on Windows 2000.
    The client Tool is VLC and they are on the same computer.

    Run testMPEG1or2VideoStreamr, and
     #define IMPLEMENT_RTSP_SERVER 1
    it shows

    play this stream using the URL "rtsp://192.192.192.51/testStream"
    Beginning streaming...
    Beginning to read from file...
    ...done reading from file
    Beginning to read from file...
    ...done reading from file
    ........
    However, when I use VLC to open rtsp://192.192.192.51/testStream,
    it gets nothing.

    Also same results come out if I comment the line #define IMPLEMENT_RTSP_SERVER 1

    Is anything wrong?

    As a matter of fact, I have done it well last year with QuickTime.

    Appreciate any suggestions.

    BR,Liu
