To add support for streaming from a new file type, you would need to 
define and implement a new subclass of "ServerMediaSubsession", 
and/or (if the file contains more than one media type multiplexed 
together) a new 'demultiplexor' class that demuliplexes file data.

If you really want to dive into this, your best approach would be to 
first try to read and understand how existing file types (e.g., MPEG 
Elementary and Program Stream files) are handled in the code.  (Or, 
if you need more 'hands on' assistance you could contact me via 
separate email to work out some sort of consulting arrangement...)
