[Live-devel] About RTSP Digest Authentication

Hi
I'm trying to do RTSP digest authentication between Vivotek's IP camera and VLC Player,
and It seems that VLC Player does not support digest authentication in RFC-2617, but support digest authentication in RFC-2069.
It means that our IP camera cannot response "401 Unauthorized" with qop="auth" which define in RFC-2617 when VLC player try to access live stream
Therefore, the streamingserver which implement RFC-2617 will failed to do RTSP digest authentication with VLC player.

Is this a correct understanding about this problem, any suggestion??
